Variety
VClad can be designed and customized to various shapes, sizes and colour. Its versatility makes it extremely suitable for most project types.

Rich in Colour
VClad is available in the full range of pantone colours. This allows for incredible flexibility to suit a vast variety of projects. Each colour layer is individually baked onto the steel base panel. Protective layers baked over the colour layers ensure the panels will retain the rich, deep colours for many years.

Sustainability
VClad is an environmentally sustainable product through;
  • The use of re-cycled metal in base sheet metal.
  • Minimum wastage during production.
  • Product can be disassembled, and re-used and re-cycled under salvage conditions. Base sheet metal, and enamel can be separately re-cycled.
Convenience
VClad’s modular installation system ensures installation times are minimized. The durable nature of VClad translates into lower ongoing maintenance requirements translating into cost reductions over the life of the building. This makes VClad most suitable for an array of projects including public transport hubs, infrastructure, retail, institutional and sporting complexes.

High Quality
VClad is highly abrasion and rust resistant. VClad is manufactured under quality management system ISO9001:2000. Products are tested to conform to BS 1344. VClad offers long term resistance to rust and abrasions. Additionally, colour luster and characteristics will last well beyond the 30-year warranty period offered. VClad is a high quality, long term cladding proposition.

Specifications

Vitreous Enamel panels are named VCLAD and manufactured by VEA Metal Products Co and supplied throughout Australia by their exclusive agents, VCLAD Australia.

VClad panels shall consist of 1.5mm sheet of low-carbon steel, faced on one side with a 3 layer system of vitreous enamel and the backing side faced with 1 layer of calcium silicate board glue fixed. The backing substrate is to increase noise and heat insulation ,structural rigidity and provide increased fire resistance.
Panels will have a 15mm return on all sides welded at the corners and ground flush. Sheets will be laser cut to required dimensions and chemical pre treated and etched faced for increased bonding.

Vitreous enamel is applied to the etched metal sheet in a 3 part process. The first part is the application of a vitreous enamel ground coat dried to a max temperature of 250deg C. The 2nd and 3rd process is the application of 2 coloured layers of VE applied at a temperature of 800deg C.

The final enamel thickness will be a minimum of 220 microns. Final finish to achieve a 90% light reflectance and offer heat resistance to a maximum of 500degC. Panels are to demonstrate high resistance to Abrasion, Heat and acidic treatment. Vitreous Enamel to meet the BS 1344 Standards.

Panels can have a face deflection of no greater that 8mm per 1000mm of panel length to maximum of 10mm in line with industry Standards.

VClad panels prior to onsite fabrication shall be stored horizontally on a dry, flat, level surface and protected from damage from other trades.
